What is T’ai Chi Chih®?

T’ai Chi Chih® consists of 19 slow, gentle movements and one pose that balance and circulate the Chi or the Life Force that flows within each of us.  T’ai Chi Chih® is not a martial art but a practice that focuses on the principles that activate, circulate, and balance the Chi.  As our intrinsic energy flows and comes into balance there is an overall feeling of health, well-being, and joy. T’ai Chi Chih® is Joy through Movement.

T’ai Chi Chih® is easy to learn.  It can be practiced by people of all ages and ability levels regardless of physical limitations.  Beginners can simply practice some of the movements and begin to experience the benefits of the balanced Chi. History of T’ai Chi Chih®

T’ai Chi Chih® was developed by Justin Stone in 1974.  Justin Stone was a T’ai Chi Ch’uan master and spent many years studying in India, China, and Japan. Justin realized that the ancient form of T’ai Chi Chu’an is difficult for most people to learn having 108 movements and almost impossible for some people to do.

Justin created this new discipline so that everyone, including elderly people, could easily learn and practice the simple movements and receive the powerful and healing benefits of circulating and balancing the Chi. Today there are over 2500 teachers world-wide.

Over the years, “nine out of ten” of the hundreds of letters Justin Stone has received from students world-wide say, “T’ai Chi Chih® has changed my life.”
